The Founding Congress of the Afghanistan People Labour Party (APLP) successfully concluded on October 25, 2018.
APLP has united representatives of various regions and provinces of Afghanistan in its ranks. The Congress has successfully elected a 17 member Central Committee, and democratically elected the General Secretary of the party.
The Congress has approved its political constitution after a two year intense debates. The Congress also approved the party organizational structures, its logo and flag.
APLP was established after an intensive debate and consultations with the leaders and activists of democratic movement in the country. APLP is a logical reaction to the current socio political and economic situation in Afghanistan. APLP has filled the political vacuum that existed in the leftist democratic movement in Afghanistan in the past quarter century.
APLP is in the firm believe, that the neo-liberal and bourgeois policies do not result in prosperity and development for the oppressed nations. APLP has developed its own comprehensive policy for equality and development.
Let’s join hands together and celebrate the establishment of the most modern and updated leftist political party that represents the interests of the proletariat and peasants of Afghanistan. Let’s raise the red flag of the people’s struggle for freedom. Let’s stand up and re start the journey for the victory of a socialist revolution that will bring freedom from the capitalist oppression.
