This is a song I personally love from my new album “The Centre”. The melody was composed by the Persian polymath and composer “Ziryab” (or Abu l-Hasan ‘Ali Ibn Nafi’) [789-857] over a thousand years ago during the Ummayad period. It’s serves as a fine specimen illustrating the rich musical heritage of the Islamic Civilisation. The lyric video contains beautiful images of traditional architecture (from Andalusia and elsewhere) as well as traditional art and geometric patterns. I hope you all like it!
