Iran starts joint air defense manoeuvre

Tehran (ISNA) – The press conference on joint air defense manoeuvre called “Velayat 97” was held on Monday November 5 in the presence of Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari and Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard.

The two-day manoeuvre is being conducted by Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base, Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and squadrons from Army’s Air Force in an area with the extent of 500,000 square kilometers in north central and western Iran
