Pakistani fans in Karachi gather to watch the much anticipated match against arch rivals India on Sunday- the first match of the Cricket World Cup tournament for Pakistan. A week prior to any India-Pak match, the media in both sides of the border tend to create intense hype by releasing all sorts of advertisements and songs to rile up the nations and heated debates on social media erupt as a result. Previous World Cup champions, the Indians have created an official hashtag #wewontgiveitback for the tournament. Pakistan has never won a match against India in any World Cup but over all in One Day Internationals they have more wins over India than India does against Pakistan. Much to the disappointment of Pakistanis, the Indians were once again champions and won this match keeping the record of Pakistan never having beaten them in the World Cup.
