URGENT: Illegal use of Taehyung's name and picture in unauthorized book to be published in February


Dear Bighit,


A book called “عمياء” (translated to “Blind”) written by author known as “JiDo” (real name: Huda Motawa) will be published in February. It uses Kim Taehyung’s name and picture on the cover and as the main character of the story. This book will be published by a publishing house called “مختلف” (read as “mokhtalef” and translated to “different” in English) that is based in the city of Qalub in Egypt. The publishing house will release the book in February at the Cairo International Book Fair, the biggest annual book fair held in Egypt.



In addition, the book also features sexual content involving our beloved Taehyung.

This book directly infringes on the rights of Taehyung through defamation and more. It also violates Taehyung’s and Bighit’s Rights of Publicity.

We urge Bighit to immediately take necessary actions and appropriate measures to prevent this commercial activity.
