Friends greet one another heartily, as is the custom at the time of Iftar (the breaking of fast) during Ramadan, outside a bakery in Qala-e-Musa in Kabul's north. Despite the calm of the evening, two separate attacks were conducted by insurgents in the Afghan capital today. One on an intelligence compound and another, the second in a week, on a NATO convoy.
